You can now modify DDoS rule actions in real-time using the new [rule update endpoint](https://www.fastly.com/documentation/reference/api/ddos-protection/#ddos-protection-rule-patch). This allows you to update the DDoS rules action to `default`, `block`, `log`, or `off` without recreating the entire rule configuration, giving you faster response capabilities during DDoS events.
