The libraries and backend connections of the Next-Gen WAF agent have been upgraded to be [FIPS 140-3](https://go.dev/doc/security/fips140) compliant. FIPS 140-3 is the latest iteration of a North American security standard used to ensure hardware and software are secure, tamper-resistant, and properly implemented to protect sensitive information.
