A handle can be evaluated using [KVStore::pending_erase_wait()](https://www.fastly.com/documentation/reference/compute/sdks/cpp/fastly/kv_store/class.KVStore/#method-pending_erase_wait). It can also be discarded if the request was sent for effects it might have, and the response is unimportant.
