Artur Bergman

Artur Bergman is the Chief Technology Officer and Founder at Fastly. Since co-founding Fastly in 2011, Artur has helped shepherd the company’s evolution in a variety of roles including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Architect, and Chairperson of the Board of Directors. Prior to co-founding Fastly, Artur held a number of leadership and management roles, including Chief Technology Officer of Wikia, Inc., a global community knowledge-sharing platform, Engineering Manager for SixApart Ltd., a social networking service, and Fotango, Ltd., a subsidiary of Canon Europe.

Kip Compton

Kip Compton joined Fastly in January 2024 as Chief Product Officer and has served as our Chief Executive Officer since June 2025. Prior to joining Fastly, Mr. Compton served as the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Business Development of the Cisco Networking business from 2020 to August 2023, where he led teams responsible for strategy, portfolio management, investments and acquisitions. Prior to that, he held various roles at Cisco since January 2006. Mr. Compton brings more than 25 years of senior leadership experience driving innovation in cloud, video, Internet of Things (IoT) and networking. He has a long and proven track record of growing teams and businesses, including creating partnerships and investments to drive growth and open new markets. Mr. Compton holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Daniel Corbett

Daniel Corbett is a Principal Product Technology Manager on the Product team. He has over 15 years of security practitioner experience and has previously worked at a high-traffic managed hosting provider where he was architecting and building secure infrastructure, mitigating threats and attacks of varying degrees, and performing incident response. Daniel is a passionate teacher and mentor who enjoys helping others. When he's not working you can find him spending time with his family, working on home improvement projects, or trying to duplicate meals from his favorite restaurants.

Marc Gillitzer

Marc leads digital modernization across the enterprise with a focus on innovative technologies. With more than 26 years at Life Time, Marc joined the company when it was a $32 million business, developing what became the mission-critical stack that still drives member management today. As Life Time grew into a $3 billion-plus enterprise, he focused on APIs, cloud platforms, and microservice implementations — progressing from hands-on development and infrastructure engineering into team leadership. More recently, he focuses on AI deployment and FinOps at Life Time for both member and team member services. That career arc, from writing code to shaping enterprise strategy, positions him uniquely to bridge the gap between technical teams and business outcomes, translating complex technology decisions into long-term organizational value. Earlier, Marc built his experience as a software consultant and instructor, giving him a practitioner’s perspective that was the foundation for his architectural thinking today. His role extends well beyond architecture, partnering closely with Legal, Security, and Private Equity teams on technology acquisition and business continuity.

Kelly Shortridge

Kelly Shortridge is Fastly’s Chief Product Officer after leading Fastly’s Security business and serving in the Office of the CTO. Her experience spans B2B product leadership, entrepreneurship (as a startup founder with an exit to CrowdStrike), and investment banking (M&A covering the cybersecurity and AI sectors). Kelly is lead author of Security Chaos Engineering: Sustaining Resilience in Software and Systems (O'Reilly Media) and is best known as a leading-edge expert on software resilience, modernizing cybersecurity to align with platform engineering and DevOps approaches, and the application of behavioral economics to cyber defense. Kelly frequently advises Fortune 500s, investors, startups, and federal agencies and has spoken at major technology conferences internationally, including Black Hat, RSA Conference, and KubeCon. Her research has been featured in prestigious computer science journals like ACM, IEEE, and USENIX, spanning behavioral science in cybersecurity, deception strategies, and the ROI of software resilience. Kelly also serves on the editorial board of ACM Queue. Kelly holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Economics from Vassar College.

Austin Spires

Dan Rowe

Dan has spent more than 20 years working across the full request path — from the edge, through the application, to the platform underneath it. He drives infrastructure and edge architecture for Wayfair's high-traffic ecommerce sites, where complex routing and traffic-shaping requirements keep speed and performance top of mind. Dan helped design and build an edge application, running on Fastly Compute, that executes on every request to Wayfair's sites, moving common request logic to the edge to unlock developer velocity without giving up reliability or performance.
