Fastly today announced its Web Application Firewall (WAF), one of three newly-launched services on Fastly’s edge cloud platform. Fastly today announced its Load Balancer as one of three newly-launched services on Fastly’s edge cloud platform. The platform empowers the world’s most popular online brands to deliver secure, fast and personalized digital experiences. Fastly’s cloud-based Load Balancer offers businesses advantages over traditional solutions such as DNS and appliance-based load balancers, providing content-aware traffic rules, instant scalability, and instant convergence.

Fastly today announced general availability of the Fastly Image Optimizer, one of three services launched today on Fastly’s edge cloud platform. The platform empowers the world’s most popular online brands to manage and deliver secure, fast and personalized digital experiences as close to end users as possible. The Fastly Image Optimizer is a real-time image manipulation solution that dramatically speeds up image delivery by serving pixel-perfect, bandwidth-efficient and device-specific images from the edge.

Fastly, the real-time Content Delivery Network (CDN), today announced general availability of the Fastly Managed CDN -- an industry-first offering that provides businesses with powerful, custom-built CDN solutions based on customers’ specific needs. The Managed CDN offering combines a customer’s existing network infrastructure with Fastly’s content delivery platform. Ideal for top 300 businesses and content producers responsible for large, dynamic datasets, the Fastly Managed CDN provides customers like Spotify full visibility, control and robust security oversight while dramatically reducing delivery and operations costs and improving user experience.

Fastly, the real-time Content Delivery Network (CDN), continues its rapid pace of growth, adding global reach to its network in support of increasing real-time web, app, and API content delivery traffic. The company today announced it has added two new Points of Presence (PoPs) to its network in Australia, plus a new South American PoP in Brazil.
