TOKYO – June 1, 2026 – Fastly, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSLY), a leading global edge cloud platform, today announced the appointment of Rumi Oku as Area Vice President for Fastly Japan. With over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, spanning enterprise sales to organizational management, Oku will be responsible for acquiring new large customers, building partner relationships, and driving business growth.
Prior to joining Fastly, Oku served as Head of Sales, Gaming, Media, and Entertainment at Google Cloud Japan, overseeing the GME business and driving digital transformation for some of the world’s most recognizable brands. In this role, she was instrumental in expanding the enterprise customer base and fostering strategic alliances. Previously, she held key leadership positions at HashiCorp Japan as Sales Director and Partner Sales Director, where she led the successful launch of the company’s Japanese subsidiary.
