Liam Mayron is Director of Core Infrastructure Product Management at Fastly, where he leads its security and core infrastructure portfolio, including application security, infrastructure security, edge compute, and DNS. He has taken products from concept to market, including DDoS protection, managed security services, WAF, and a 24/7 customer security operations center, and works directly with enterprise CISOs worldwide. His career has focused on securing internet traffic at increasing scale, from AI/ML-driven network detection to cloud security. He previously served as an Assistant Professor, founding and chairing graduate cybersecurity programs. He holds a Ph.D. in computer engineering, has more than 40 peer-reviewed publications, and is a patented inventor, IEEE Senior Member, and CISSP-ISSMP.
